Specialty Apparatus Lab & Advanced Level-Up Combo

Specialty Apparatus Lab & Advanced Level-Up Combo

Ready to Level Up? New Requirement for Specialty Apparatus Lab on Thursdays @ 8:30PM

We’re excited to offer our Specialty Apparatus Lab every Thursday at 8:30 PM, exclusively for advanced-level students age 16 and up. This open lab time is designed for skilled aerialists looking to train on a rotating lineup of AntiGravity’s specialty equipment, such as Braided Loops, Net, Cube, and more. To maintain the integrity and safety of this high-level class, we’ve implemented a new Level-Up Combo requirement.

 Why the Level-Up Requirement?

This lab is self-directed and utilizes unique apparatuses that demand body awareness, control, and strength. To ensure every student is ready for this environment, they must first demonstrate the ability to execute a set of intermediate-to-advanced movements on Silks, completely off the ground and without assistance.

 The Int/Adv Level-Up Combo:

To qualify for the Specialty Apparatus Lab, students must complete the following:

  • 2 Pull-Ups
  • 1 Four-Count Hold (static hold at the top of the pull-up)
  • 2 Rock ’n’ Rolls (clean transitions demonstrating control)
    AND either:
  • 4 Standard V-Ups (from a strong hold)
    OR
  • 2 Straight-Arm V-Ups (demonstrating advanced core control)

This combo reflects the baseline strength and technique needed to safely explore the lab’s advanced offerings.

 How to Test

Speak with your instructor or reach out to the front desk to schedule a time to demonstrate the combo. Once completed and approved, you’ll be eligible to register for Thursday’s 8:30 PM Specialty Apparatus Lab moving forward.

 Note: No Exceptions

All movements must be executed with clean form, off the ground, and without any assistance. This policy helps keep our students safe and ensures that lab time remains focused and effective for everyone.

We believe in progression through strength and skill. If you’re almost there – keep training, and we’ll see you in the lab soon!
